On January 7, 2022, a joint press conference by the Institute of Industrial Science (IIS), the University of Tokyo, and the JX Nippon Mining & Metals Corporation for the commencement of the third period of the JX Metals Endowed Unit was held.
In the third period, in addition to further developing the activities of the first and second periods, we plan to focus on various activities including contribution to the SDGs, support for STEAM education, and recurrent education for adults inside and
outside the non-ferrous industry.
To prevent COVID-19 infection, this press conference was held in a hybrid format, with the audience limited to approximately 30 members of the press and some staff in the convention hall that can accommodate 270 people, and the conference was livestreamed
via Zoom and YouTube.
